What is my approach?

I adopt a therapeutic approach to assessment, which includes a focus on collaboration, respect, compassion, and curiosity. Therapeutic approaches to assessment focus not only on diagnoses but also on helping people better understand themselves and find solutions to problems.

Education and Clinical Experience

I earned my doctorate in school psychology from Texas A&M University, and have been working with children and families for over a decade. In addition to my current practice, my clinical background includes school psychology work in the public education system in Texas, Virginia, and Florida. As such, I have experience conducting school-based assessments and helping to create education plans for students with disabilities.

I also serve as clinical faculty at Baylor University, where I teach and supervise graduate students’ clinical experience at our community-based clinic. I have lectured on topics related to behavioral supports and accommodations, evidenced-based therapeutic interventions, and special education services, along with other topics related to school- and clinic-based psychological services.
